Initially it was going to be a very epic 2-3 minute trailer for a feature idea I have with the same characters. However many people said, "Make a film, not a film trailer", So I forged a new story, with only the Tiger remaining as the lead.
But that story just has TOO much dialogue and exposition. Also time travel was pretty difficult to handle in a film that short along with an engaging story.
So out went the time travel, out went the dragon, out went pretty much everything except for the simple tale of a Tiger, a portal, and his missing father.
Oh, and the Tiger became an exorcist.
In my head I loved that exorcism scene but it was not working on paper at all and I can't believe I was EVER cool with those opening shots at all.
So that became this...
But still the lab scene and ending were horrendously boring, not to mention had no consequences or stakes.
So after much more work and brainstorming, it finally became this.
Yeah, I know it's password protected, you'll have to ask me directly for the password, because I don't want this publicly available yet. Also it's got some big spoilers (obviously) and if you haven't seen it and are coming to the screening I'd rather it be a surprise for you there.
Isn't it amazing how much a film changes over production? They really take on a life of their own! This is one of the reasons I want to do this forever!
